Specify the actual DF-E configuration inside the air-handling unit

Sihe identifies DF-E as a double-inlet centrifugal air-conditioning fan, intended for air-conditioning assemblies, air curtains and indoor ventilation. The original sheet illustrates an exposed belt/pulley arrangement and gives sizes 2.5 through 8 with speed, motor, airflow, total-pressure and noise columns. This is a fan component catalogue, not a complete air-handling-unit specification with known coils, filters, casing or controls.

The sheet says the medium may be air or other non-self-igniting gases harmless to people, excludes particulate matter, and also prints a dust-content limit of 150 mg/m³. It does not establish suitability for a corrosive, explosive, high-temperature or process-dust stream. Use its table to choose a candidate size/speed and ask the manufacturer for the selected curve, current motor/drive configuration and installation drawing. A range row is not proof that maximum airflow and maximum pressure occur together.

Selection and application review

Keep fan speed, motor poles and pressure together

The size 2.5 schedules change substantially: the 1,000 r/min row lists a 0.55 kW four-pole motor and 280–260 Pa total pressure, while 1,600 r/min uses a 1.5 kW six-pole motor and 720–695 Pa. These are separate offered configurations. Fan speed is its own table column; motor poles do not give the impeller speed when a transmission is used. Confirm the pulley ratio, actual motor speed and supplied drive.

The airflow and total-pressure ranges should remain attached to their row. Request a curve and mark the chosen point, including density and test arrangement. Do not use 3,650 m³/h with 280 Pa as a guaranteed maximum pair, or compare the table's total pressure directly with another fan's static pressure without a matching definition.

Integrate both inlets and the drive into the cabinet

The sheet shows a double-inlet fan component with a belt/pulley assembly. Supply both-side inlet clearances, the outlet transition and the position of coils, filters or panels around the wheel. Ask for the exact casing/motor/drive outline, support points, belt guard and removal route. The offered fan must fit after access panels and other equipment have been included, not merely within an empty cabinet.

Close responsibility for belts, pulleys, guards, supports, isolation, controller and wiring. A supplier photograph does not establish the delivered package or prove that a particular drive is safe at every listed speed. Have the manufacturer identify the supported operating range and maintenance access for the selected configuration.

  1. Show the internal arrangement

Include both inlet spaces, filter/coil locations, outlet transition and service-side restrictions.

  2. Close the drive package

Identify motor, pulley ratio, belt and guards, support loads and the agreed fan speed.

  3. Approve a controlled outline

Match the selected configuration and drawing revision to the actual cabinet and removal route.

Clarify gas and dust suitability before adopting the family

The catalogue permits air and other harmless, non-self-igniting gases, excludes particulate matter and gives a dust-content limit of 150 mg/m³. The wording needs clarification for any stream that includes solids: distinguish fine dust from particles, identify concentration and describe abrasiveness or deposits. The page does not establish a dust-collection or hazardous-atmosphere rating.

Supply air temperature, ambient conditions, humidity and contaminants. Ask for materials, coating, bearing/motor protection and operating restrictions relevant to that stream. Do not borrow a fire, corrosion or explosion designation from another Sihe catalogue category, and do not interpret the illustrated ordinary drive as an approval for a classified area.

A noise number needs the measurement basis

The size 2.5/1,000 r/min row prints 65 dB(A), but the sheet does not identify a measurement distance, sound-pressure versus sound-power basis or installed cabinet. A quiet-product description and that isolated number do not guarantee a room or property-boundary result. Request acoustic data for the selected point and the complete assembly being quoted.

The air-handling-unit casing, inlet/outlet paths and transmission may affect the installed result. Compare offers only after matching operating point, test arrangement and the attenuation included. Neither the factory's two published aerodynamic chambers nor a company quality-system claim authenticates an order-specific acoustic result.

Return a selection and inspection package

A usable offer should identify size, impeller speed, motor/supply, transmission, marked curve, total-pressure definition, outline and accessory scope. Ask for an inspection plan covering identification, dimensions, balancing/running records where specified and actual operating measurements. Have the supplier clarify the gas/dust wording and any current replacements for catalogue motor codes.

For installed acceptance, agree airflow, pressure measurement positions, rotational speed, electrical input and noise conditions. Motor rated power is not measured input consumption. No price, stock, lead time, selected-model certification or warranty has been verified for DF-E in this review. The next step is an approved configuration and evidence package, rather than procurement by nominal size alone.
