Build a components sourcing brief

Shortlist by the equipment function and the evidence available, then ask for the selected assembly at your project conditions.

Create a schedule for the actual component

Valves, air-volume devices and ductwork serve different interfaces. For a balancing valve, specify circuit fluid, flow and pressure conditions. For a constant-air-volume device, state airflow, pressure and installation/control requirements. For ductwork, provide section dimensions, material, joints, design pressure and insulation scope.

Resolve catalogue ambiguities before design use

The Shenhua valve page provides manufacturer-declared operating and accuracy statements. Huifeng’s CAV entry has incomplete technical sections. Yeniu’s panel/duct page prints an ambiguous pressure inequality; Yaoniu’s galvanised gallery does not supply a unified gauge or leakage schedule. Keep these limitations attached to the item rather than treating a family claim as an accepted project limit.

Request evidence for the whole supplied assembly

A material claim does not establish the finished duct assembly’s fire, pressure or leakage performance. Match reports to the selected panels, joints, supports and installation. Ask valve suppliers for exact connections, settings and service instructions. The comparison should retain the drawing issue and clarification status for every line item.
