HBO's hot-air duct offer includes an insulated silicone/glass-fibre construction and a metal-clipped flexible construction. The official insulated-page text and poster give diameters 25–600 mm, a stated 28 mm tube thickness, −70 to +300°C and 3,000 Pa rated pressure resistance. The 450°C flexible-page text and poster instead give diameters 51–1,500 mm, 0.50 mm thickness, −70 to +450°C and 10,000 Pa resistance. They are kept as construction choices on one duct-selection page, rather than separate URLs for every diameter or temperature label.
The decision is not simply which hose has the largest temperature number. The insulated option describes silicone/glass-fibre duct with external glass-fibre insulation; the flexible option describes coated glass-fibre fabric and a metal clamp construction with a stated compression ratio. The source supplies no inspected pressure-versus-temperature derating, vacuum-collapse limit, bend-loss schedule or current fire-test report. A quoted hot-air system therefore needs the actual selected duct and its connection ratings checked together.
This is an equipment family; its range does not identify one orderable configuration.

| Parameter | Published value | Conditions and evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Insulated construction | Silicone/glass-fibre duct with glass-fibre insulation | Official description and actual stacked-duct image inspected; insulation performance not independently measured. Source |
| Insulated stated envelope | Ø25–600 mm; thickness 28 mm; −70 to +300°C; 3,000 Pa | Supplier text/poster; thickness definition and pressure/temperature pairing need confirmation. Source |
| Flexible stated envelope | Ø51–1,500 mm; thickness 0.50 mm; −70 to +450°C; 10,000 Pa | Distinct coated-fabric/metal-clipped construction; not a combined rating for the insulated offer. Source |
| Flexible geometry claims | Bend radius approximately outside diameter; compression 1:10 | Supplier statement without inspected cycling or bend-loss test. Source |
| Missing system limits | Temperature derating, suction/collapse, connection rating and flow loss | No assumed vacuum capability, tested fire class or touch-safe outer surface. Source |
The insulated offer has a silicone/glass-fibre inner route and added insulation. The flexible offer describes a coated glass-fibre fabric, reinforced fibre and metal-clipped construction. Keep those materials and stated thicknesses attached to their own choice; do not describe a single hose as having both sets of ratings.
Ask whether the 28 mm insulated thickness is an overall construction thickness and obtain an issued section drawing. Specify the actual inlet/outlet size and connection arrangement. Diameter variants stay on one page because they do not create distinct process capabilities by themselves.
The supplier prints a temperature range and a pressure-resistance value for each construction, but provides no inspected combined derating curve. Issue the actual continuous and transient air temperature, pressure differential and air composition. Obtain the selected manufacturer's allowable duty with the actual end connections, not just the largest separate catalogue values.
Do not connect a 350°C-labelled heater at that upper envelope to the insulated option's stated +300°C limit without a documented selected system design. Ask separately about suction/collapse if the route is an extraction line; a positive pressure-resistance number is not proof of vacuum performance.
Specify the route length, bend geometry and required delivered flow. Ask for pressure-loss information at the ordered diameter and extension state, plus support and permissible movement instructions. The flexible page's approximate bend-radius and 1:10 compression statements do not establish zero flow loss or unlimited flexing life.
Obtain abrasion/contamination compatibility and replaceable connection details for the actual stream. Broad descriptions mentioning smoke, dust or exhaust are not a tested approval for every chemical or combustible contaminant. No fire classification is asserted without a traceable report for the selected construction.
The insulated illustration presents reduced heat release, but no independently measured thermal conductivity, surface temperature or system energy-saving percentage was reviewed. Define any external-surface requirement and ask for evidence under the selected duty. Insulation does not automatically make all hot connections touch-safe.
Acceptance should verify the ordered materials/dimensions, connection integrity, delivered flow and permissible thermal/pressure duty using issued supplier instructions. Current price, lead time and tested service lifetime remain unknown. Different diameters, lengths and temperature constructions remain selections within this consolidated offer.
