01 / UNDERSTAND THE EQUIPMENT

Select a process heater with a defined airflow and temperature point

HBO's industrial heat-gun offer is illustrated as a stainless-coloured tubular heater with a narrow outlet, perforated outer guard, mounting support and attached control/cable arrangement. The official text and parameter poster state electric heating power 0.5–35 kW and an 800°C temperature headline. The poster calls this maximum temperature, while the body calls it rated temperature; neither provides a reviewed air-flow pairing or selected-model continuous-duty test. A pressure statement is abbreviated as 5kg or 5KG without an issued pressure unit definition.

This is an industrial localized process-heating component offer, rather than a claim that every small pictured assembly delivers 35 kW and 800°C simultaneously. The page mentions localized workpiece heating, tube shrinking and drying. Those broad applications do not establish a soldering recipe or product-temperature outcome. Selection requires a defined external air route, electrical rating, outlet configuration and controller/protection arrangement for the actual process.

Selection and application review

Define the local heating result and actual air route

State the workpiece/material, allowed thermal exposure, target process result and cycle or conveyor conditions. Obtain the selected outlet/nozzle geometry and the proposed stand-off/control arrangement in issued documents. An 800°C air headline does not establish that the workpiece reaches a specified uniform temperature or that adjacent materials remain within their limits.

Identify whether the order includes an air source and how it is connected. The reviewed page does not issue a selected airflow schedule. Ask for the actual flow, inlet conditions and pressure boundary paired with the selected heater output; do not infer an onboard fan from the tubular product photograph.

Resolve the thermal and pressure statements

The HTML calls 800°C rated temperature, while the poster calls it maximum temperature. Ask for the selected assembly's continuous and transient outlet limits, measurement location and issued rating condition. Keep the power envelope separate from that limit; the largest power and temperature are not proved at one flow.

The 5kg/5KG pressure abbreviation is not silently interpreted as kgf/cm². Obtain an issued pressure unit, allowable working pressure and test basis for the actual heater and connections. Other HBO component pages' detailed pressure wording is not automatically transferred onto this heat gun.

Match the electrical and protective-control design

Specify the exact voltage/phase/frequency and obtain selected heating and complete system input, terminals and switching/control scope. The page allows a temperature-control system to be paired with the heater, but does not issue one universally compatible controller or wiring arrangement.

Ask for sensor locations, independent over-temperature protection and documented response to loss of the required air supply. Confirm external guarding, hot-surface limits and mounting/service instructions. A perforated guard photograph is a construction observation, not a verified touch-temperature or machinery-safety assessment.

Accept the heater on the defined process

Agree a run test with delivered air, outlet temperature and complete input at the selected condition, plus a workpiece-result check using the real geometry and cycle. The website's broad electronics/food/application list is not independent process qualification, sterilization evidence or a material-specific operating procedure.

Request selected drawings, material/inspection records and replaceable heater/control parts. Continuous lifetime, noise, current price and lead time remain unknown. The A/B/C/D and power labels are not expanded into artificial pages from repeated general descriptions.

  1. Issue the localized duty

Define material/result, cycle, air source and selected outlet geometry.

  2. Close rating gaps

Obtain paired thermal/air data, pressure-unit definition and complete electrical/control scope.

  3. Verify the ordered process

Agree air/thermal/electrical measurements and actual workpiece acceptance.
