Specify the air knife together with its air source and workpiece
HBO's standard and gate-shaped air knives are air-distribution components intended to be connected to an external blower, centrifugal fan, compressor or hot-air source. The original standard photograph shows a long plenum with an inlet and bolted slot assembly; the gate image shows a connected top-and-side distribution geometry. They are consolidated here as one air-knife offer rather than counted as separate URLs for repeated straight lengths or geometric variants. The component itself is listed without an electrical-supply requirement; the complete air system still requires a separately selected source.
The standard page describes a 0.5–3 mm adjustable slot and custom lengths of 50–6,000 mm. Its poster states maximum velocity 200 m/s, maximum air-volume range 3–35 m³/min, temperature resistance 200°C and maximum pressure as 5KG. The detailed body separately writes 5 kgf/cm². Those distinctions matter: a resistance statement is not the required working pressure, and a maximum jet speed is not a proven drying result over the entire slot.
Published parameters and their scope
This is an equipment family; its range does not identify one orderable configuration.

| Parameter | Published value | Conditions and evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Disclosed slot and length options | 0.5–3 mm adjustable slot; 50–6,000 mm custom lengths | Official detailed text; exact adjustment method and dimensions need an issued drawing. Source |
| Published velocity and flow | Maximum 200 m/s; 3–35 m³/min maximum-air-volume range | No paired selected point, measurement plane or full-slot uniformity test inspected. Source |
| Published temperature resistance | 200°C | Component statement; not an automatic limit for all seals, hoses or connected equipment. Source |
| Pressure-source typography | Poster: 5KG; detailed body: 5 kgf/cm² | Retained rather than silently normalised; confirm operating and test pressure for the order. Source |
| Described body material | 304 stainless steel | Supplier detail text; no inspected material certificate. Source |
| External air source | Blower, centrifugal fan or compressor mentioned | Air knife has no inherent delivered pressure/heat; source must be separately selected. Source |
| Geometry scope | Straight, custom and gate-shaped distribution variants | Shared family, no artificial URL for each length or shape. Source |
Selection and application review
Start with the workpiece and outlet distribution
Provide the workpiece dimensions, conveyor speed, surface condition and required remaining-water or process-result criterion. Select straight or gate-shaped distribution to the actual access and coverage. The gate photograph shows a top-and-side arrangement, but the shared text does not issue a separate verified performance table for that geometry.
Request a dimensioned drawing showing inlet size/location, slot adjustment, mounting points and service access. The 0.5–3 mm and 50–6,000 mm statements are customization ranges, not a catalogue of tested identical results. Keep lengths and shapes as selections within this one offer.
Select the air supply at the knife, not by a maximum headline
The page mentions multiple external sources. Identify which source is actually quoted, its curve and the required condition at the knife inlet after all hoses and fittings. Compressor and blower arrangements cannot be assumed equivalent simply because both appear in the description. Obtain the source's selected operating point and complete electrical input.
The 200 m/s maximum lacks an inspected measurement plane, slot position or reference inlet condition. The maximum volume range is not paired with that maximum speed for every length. Ask for outlet-distribution evidence across the ordered slot and the process stand-off/angle chosen by the responsible designer.
Separate resistance limits from normal operating duty
The parameter poster says 5KG, while the detailed body writes 5 kgf/cm². Obtain the issued allowable working pressure, test pressure and connection ratings for the selected air knife. Do not read a pressure-resistance statement as a recommendation to operate at that pressure, or invent a converted rating from the abbreviated poster.
The 200°C heat-resistance statement also needs to be attached to the exact ordered materials, joints and seals. If paired with a heater whose outlet envelope reaches 350°C, that larger envelope does not override the air knife's stated limit. Confirm the complete connected path's permissible duty using selected documents.
Keep drying and containment claims tied to measured results
The supplier describes water removal after cleaning and a broad range of heated-air applications. It also mentions harmful-gas/dust isolation and sterilization. No inspected capture/containment or microbial validation report was reviewed, so those phrases are not adopted as proof of hazardous-stream isolation, medical sterilization or food-process qualification.
Agree an actual workpiece/result test at the selected speed, inlet air condition and geometry. Record remaining liquid or the relevant measurable acceptance result, together with air-source input and noise where relevant. A jet-speed headline alone cannot establish process throughput or energy savings.
Compare the complete component and source package
Confirm the knife, supply manifold, hoses, source fan/compressor/heater, supports and control scope included in the quotation. Identify air-contact materials and maintenance access; the 304 claim is a supplier statement until the ordered material record is supplied.
Obtain replaceable parts, adjustment instructions and an order-specific warranty. Price, delivery, uniformity, tested drying capacity and independent energy-cost results remain unknown. Repeated standard pictures and custom shapes do not create additional search pages.
Define geometry and result
Issue workpiece, speed, coverage, inlet/slot and measurable drying acceptance.
Select source and limits
Match inlet pressure/flow and component temperature/pressure ratings with the whole connection.
Verify the ordered process
Test distribution and the actual workpiece outcome with complete source energy and noise boundaries.
