01 / UNDERSTAND THE EQUIPMENT

Qualify the coolant formulation against the complete wetted circuit

SoluKing is Envicool's coolant offer for data-centre and energy-storage liquid cooling. The official page describes deionized water with additives including pH buffer, corrosion/scale inhibitors and bactericide; propylene glycol and ethylene glycol are optional antifreeze constituents. The accompanying photograph depicts connected hoses and fittings, not a bottle label, batch certificate or disclosed formulation. No concentration, freeze point, conductivity, pH range or current safety data sheet was inspected.

The source promotes maintenance-free operation, broad material compatibility, five-fold corrosion improvement and nine layers of leak protection. These remain supplier claims without reviewed test conditions and are not adopted as a universal fluid or leak-free guarantee. Fluid selection must be matched to the actual cold plates, seals, metals and server/CDU requirements. This brief distinguishes glycol options, receipt documents and in-service fluid checks rather than treating the brand name as a complete chemical specification.

Selection and application review

Choose the actual formulation with the equipment OEM

Issue all wetted metals, coatings, elastomers and plastics plus the server/CDU fluid requirements. Ask which SoluKing formulation and glycol option is selected and obtain written compatibility for that complete circuit. A broad all-materials statement does not replace component-specific limits.

Define required freeze protection and operating temperatures. Obtain viscosity, heat capacity and hydraulic/thermal properties at the chosen concentration and conditions so the pumps and exchangers can be reselected where needed. The source page provides no concentration or property table.

Obtain safety and batch documents before receipt

Request the current safety data sheet for the exact formulation, container label, batch certificate and storage/handling instructions. Propylene and ethylene glycol are different options; their actual formulation documents must accompany the selected order. No hazard class or disposal rule is invented from the brand webpage.

Specify acceptance properties and methods using OEM requirements and the supplier's data, including relevant pH, conductivity, concentration and contamination limits. A hose photograph is not a fluid analysis or evidence that one shipment meets those limits.

Control flushing, filling and mixing

Agree cleaning and flushing of the circuit and the quality of any approved dilution or top-up liquid. Ask whether the ordered coolant is ready to use or requires controlled dilution. Do not mix unknown fluids or assume additives in one formulation are compatible with existing loop fluid.

Define filling/venting, sampling locations and traceability to the supplied batch. Obtain the approved seal/material and commissioning records. The supplier's no-leakage headline does not establish the integrity of mechanically assembled joints.

Make maintenance-free language an evidence question

Ask for the conditions and service interval behind the maintenance-free claim, along with the supplier's sampling and replacement criteria. Establish the monitoring programme required by the equipment OEM and warranty. No inspected lifetime or universal no-monitoring interval is available here.

Request corrosion and stability test reports matching the actual materials, temperatures and concentration. The five-fold comparison lacks an inspected reference fluid and test boundary; it is not converted into guaranteed component life.

Accept chemistry separately from system integrity

Verify the delivered formulation and batch quality against agreed criteria, then check the installed system's flow, thermal duty and leakage using separate procedures. Coolant compatibility and a pressure-tight assembly are different acceptance states.

Current price, stock, lead time and independently verified lifecycle performance remain unknown.

  1. Select chemistry

Approve glycol option, concentration and compatibility with every wetted component.

  2. Receive documented fluid

Check exact SDS, label, batch certificate and agreed quality properties.

  3. Commission the loop

Record flushing/filling and verify fluid performance separately from mechanical leak integrity.
