Bigfans P column-supported large-space fans
A ground-supported overhead wheel needs a base/anchor design and site envelope; neither the photograph nor indoor/outdoor wording approves every location.

Select column height, foundation and overhead delivery together
Bigfans’ P standing family carries a large overhead wheel on its own column and ground-fixed base, rather than hanging from the building. The source lists four diameters from 3.8 to 7.3 m, a column-height range of 3.5–6 m, and total masses from 230 to 350 kg. Its original image shows the tall column and foot arrangement, but supplies no selected base drawing, anchor loads or outdoor design envelope. Ground support changes the engineering task; it does not remove installation constraints.
P73 lists 7.3 m, 60 rpm, 350 kg and a 1.5 kW motor. P38’s airflow is printed as 1,000 m³/min, markedly different from the later rows; that value remains unresolved rather than being silently rewritten. The advertised maximum 50 dB sound level has no measurement distance, operating condition or method. Obtain a site-specific support, electrical and air-delivery selection before using the indoor/outdoor application wording to approve a public or industrial location.

| Parameter | Published value | Conditions and evidence |
|---|---|---|
| P73 reference | 7.3 m diameter; 60 rpm; 350 kg; 1.5 kW motor | Source schedule; blade height and structural loads need selected drawing. Source |
| Family support range | Columns 3.5–6 m; P38/50/62/73 mass 230/270/310/350 kg | Range is not an issued foundation or anchor selection. Source |
| Airflow conflict | P38 1,000 m³/min; later rows 12,050/13,100/14,060 m³/min | Original value preserved; no automatic correction to 10,000 or other figure. Source |
| P73 voltage alternatives | 3.5 A / 380 V; 6.1 A / 220 V | Actual phase, controller and installed input/protection unprovided. Source |
| Sound/site claims | No more than 50 dB; indoor/outdoor use promoted | No sound method, ingress, wind/design-load or corrosion schedule reviewed. Source |
Selection and application review
Approve the ground-supported structure and occupied envelope
Provide site layout, foundations, ground condition and the intended column/blade height. Obtain the actual base/anchor drawing, support loads and clearance/service envelope from the supplier and responsible designer. A multi-foot image and redundancy slogan do not provide a verified foundation design.
Account for occupied routes, vehicles and nearby equipment in the site review. Column support avoids a roof mounting interface but introduces a floor obstacle and its own support responsibilities. No universal setback or ground-load rule is inferred here.
Select actual air delivery and resolve the smallest-row anomaly
Request the occupied-zone air-speed layout at the actual column height and diameter. The table gives circulation volumes without a reviewed measurement basis; they are not outdoor-air exchange or a refrigeration duty. Define comfort and any separate ventilation/extraction requirements.
P38 is printed as 1,000 m³/min, while larger rows are an order of magnitude higher. Obtain a current written confirmation instead of correcting an apparent omission. Confirm usable speed range and complete operating input before comparing options.
Qualify the outdoor option and sound claim
If the location is outdoors, obtain the exact assembly’s environmental, electrical ingress, corrosion and applicable structural design limits. The source’s indoor/outdoor wording supplies no wind, weather or model protection schedule and does not approve arbitrary exposed conditions.
For the advertised 50 dB limit, request operating speed, measurement method/location and sound quantity. Do not convert it into an assured receiver-level result for a plaza or work area. Confirm the selected motor/controller and 220/380 V order interfaces.
Accept a supported assembly with accessible maintenance
Approve current model/BOM, foundation/mounting and electrical documents before installation. Verify retention, speed/direction, controls and actual occupied-zone delivery against agreed conditions. Obtain cleaning/inspection and blade/motor service arrangements for the chosen height.
Price, delivery, independent noise and outdoor performance remain unknown. The P family has its own support and environmental decisions, distinct from a suspended ceiling fan and a mobile floor wheel; diameter rows remain within one structured page.
Freeze column and foundation
Obtain current loads, base/anchor drawing and occupied clearance.
Resolve performance scope
Confirm P38 flow, actual air delivery and outdoor/sound evidence.
Verify installed operation
Approve electrical/control, retention and service access.
