Select cold-water output and recovered heat on matching conditions
WCFX-RH is a water-cooled fully hermetic screw chiller family with a published cooling range of 206–2293 kW. Dunham-Bush describes a vertical twin-screw compressor, built-in oil separation, falling-film evaporator, condenser subcooler and economizer. An electronic expansion valve is part of the stated design. This is a screw/oil-circuit selection, distinct from the separately reviewed oil-free centrifugal machines.
The source names HFC-134a and describes partial or full heat recovery as optional functions. Its all-series Chinese first-level efficiency and maintenance-free compressor wording lack an inspected selected rating/conformity report and complete service schedule. The webpage does not establish a heating output for either recovery option. A comparable enquiry should specify the simultaneous cold and recovered-heat duties and include tower, pump and control energy boundaries, rather than use the family cooling range as an ordered-model guarantee. RS485 is described as standard, while remote/group controls and protocol choices need order-specific confirmation.

Selection and application review
Issue the cold and recovered-heat loads together
Provide chilled-water load/temperatures, condenser-water conditions and any simultaneous heat-demand profile. Ask for the selected model's cold duty, input and heat-recovery output at those exact conditions. Partial/full recovery options are not interchangeable with an independent heating-capacity guarantee.
Define where rejected heat goes when there is no useful heat demand and how the plant changes operating modes. Obtain the recovery exchanger arrangement and external pump/valve responsibilities. The official page does not supply the resulting temperatures or full-plant control sequence.
Approve screw and oil-service responsibilities
Obtain the selected compressor/oil circuit, oil type, separation/return requirements and protective alarms. The webpage describes a hermetic design and integrated oil separation; it does not prove that all leaks are impossible or that the complete chiller needs no inspections.
Require the actual maintenance and replacement-access schedule, including filters, valves, sensors and water-side cleaning where applicable. Confirm what can be serviced on site and what requires a compressor/module replacement. No service interval or lifetime warranty is invented.
Select hydraulics and efficiency with an issued rating
Request evaporator/condenser flow limits, pressure drops, water-quality requirements and the operating map for the falling-film/economizer arrangement. Compare complete machine input at matched conditions and include pump/tower effects in plant evaluation. The 206–2293 kW family span does not establish one selected unit's performance.
Ask for the applicable current model efficiency report and standard version behind the first-level efficiency claim. No issuer/conformity record was inspected here. Building LEED applicability is not product certification or independently measured project savings.
Commission ordered controls and recovery modes
Freeze RS485 wiring, the installed protocol, remote/group-control options and alarm responsibilities. Obtain registers, cause-and-effect diagrams and the changeover sequence for recovery demand, no-demand operation and relevant faults. General automatic monitoring language is not a selected interface contract.
Acceptance should verify selected cold/recovery duty, complete input, water flows, oil/protective states and the actual BMS integration. Obtain current price, delivery and spare/service terms directly; those commercial values remain unknown.
Issue simultaneous duty
Match cooling, condenser conditions and useful heat demand.
Approve selected evidence
Obtain rating, hydraulic limits, oil-service file and optional recovery scope.
Witness mode changes
Verify recovery/no-demand operation, protections and installed communications.
