WCOX is an industrial refrigeration unit family combining an LSC open screw compressor with shell-and-tube condensing and flooded-evaporator equipment. The source describes replaceable individual heat-exchanger tubes, a refrigerant-cooled oil cooler, slide-valve capacity control and optional vapour/liquid injection provisions. Small units are described as integrated assemblies, while larger orders use skids assembled on site. This package scope distinguishes WCOX from a compressor-only enquiry.
The headline −110 to 25°C range is a broad application statement without a selected staging, refrigerant or process-fluid schedule. The manufacturer lists several refrigerant choices and 10–99.99% capacity regulation, but neither provides a guaranteed complete operating map. A claimed factory performance test of at least 24 hours applies to the described small-unit delivery arrangement, not an independently witnessed test of every future order. Procurement should define selected heat exchangers, pressure vessels, shipping splits and on-site testing alongside compressor duty.
This is an equipment family; its range does not identify one orderable configuration.

| Parameter | Published value | Conditions and evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Core arrangement | LSC open screw with shell/tube condenser and flooded evaporator | Selected exchanger/vessel schedule required. Source |
| Published temperature span | −110 to 25°C | Not a selected single-stage or fluid rating. Source |
| Capacity-control statement | Slide valve, 10–99.99% | No inspected stability map across all conditions. Source |
| Delivery arrangements | Integrated small units; site-assembled larger skids | Actual shipping split and test scope need contract definition. Source |
| Service design | Individually replaceable exchanger tubes; field-serviceable bearings | Actual access, isolation and repair procedures needed. Source |
| Controls | RS485 with open MODBUS described | Selected point list and interlocks not issued. Source |
Specify process medium, heat duty, temperature/pressure limits and utility water conditions. Request the selected compressor map, refrigerant, stages and complete capacity/input rating. The broad temperature statement does not establish the achievable output of one quoted unit.
Obtain materials, corrosion/fouling limits, exchanger areas and pressure-vessel boundaries. Application lists do not establish suitability for any chemical medium or hazardous-area installation. Require project-specific documentation where these conditions apply.
Request exchanger drawings, removable bundle/tube access, cleaning/isolation procedure and allowable water-side pressure drops. Individually replaceable tubes are a source feature, not evidence that repair can occur without space or downtime.
Confirm refrigerant-cooled oil cooler requirements, mechanical seal service and the actual optional injection configuration. Obtain oil quality, return and protection documentation for the selected refrigerant and operating pressures. Do not assume both optional injection ports are fitted or active.
Identify which unit is shipped complete and which skids require joining, alignment, charging or control wiring. Obtain weights, lifting/transport drawings and field assembly responsibilities. The small-unit description of at least 24 hours of testing does not confirm a witnessed order-specific result.
Agree factory test conditions, retained records and site repeat tests for pressure/leak integrity, controls and actual process duty. Determine commissioning utilities and responsibility for external piping or vessels.
Request the slide-valve operating map, minimum stable duty and startup/shutdown sequences. The 10–99.99% regulation claim is not a guarantee of equal efficiency or stability across arbitrary temperature lift.
Freeze RS485/MODBUS points, alarms, interlocks and supervisory authority. Acceptance should measure useful process duty, complete input and protective response at selected conditions. Price, delivery, exact-model conformity and independent installed performance remain unknown.
Select compressor, refrigerant, exchangers and pressure/material boundaries.
Define integrated/skid split, field assembly and repeat tests.
Approve service access, regulation, interlocks and actual MODBUS scope.
