Close the low-temperature fluid specification before choosing a machine
WCDSX-D is a water-cooled semi-hermetic screw low-temperature chiller with a published cooling range of 92–756 kW. The manufacturer separately states a minimum leaving-fluid temperature of −35°C. These two limits are not a simultaneous selected rating: the source supplies no capacity curve at −35°C, fluid concentration or ambient/condenser condition. Food, chemical, electronic and pharmaceutical applications are listed, without process-specific qualification.
Its described construction includes a twin-screw compressor, internal oil separation, intermediate-pressure liquid injection to protect the motor and serviceable semi-hermetic construction. R404A appears among optional refrigerant choices; the base refrigerant is not established by the reviewed page. A flow switch and spring/rubber vibration isolators are also optional. Buyers therefore need a selected fluid and refrigeration circuit before determining protection, installation or process reliability. The family photograph identifies the equipment arrangement but provides no usable model dimensions or pressure rating.

Selection and application review
Issue the process fluid and duty envelope
Specify required heat removal, supply/return temperatures, fluid chemistry/concentration, permissible pressure and operating schedule. Obtain selected capacity/input and freeze margin at the actual condenser-water condition. Do not assume plain water is the intended medium at the source's negative-temperature limit.
Include startup pull-down and changing process loads in the enquiry. A food or pharmaceutical application label does not validate product temperature uniformity, batch quality or regulatory compliance; these need project-specific acceptance criteria.
Define refrigeration, oil and injection service
Request the actual refrigerant, charge, compressor operating map and oil/injection circuit. R404A is an option on the source page, not proof that every machine uses it. Obtain the issued handling and maintenance documents for the selected configuration.
Agree injection and motor-protection alarms, low-oil-pressure response and semi-hermetic service access. The source's durable-bearing language supplies no service interval or independent life result. Determine spare parts and whether repair can take place at the installed location.
Freeze flow protection and low-temperature installation
The source lists a flow switch as optional. Identify the actual flow-proving device and responsibility in the order, together with minimum flow, pump interlocks and the machine response to flow loss. Do not assume optional protection is already included.
Obtain fluid-side pressure drops, insulation/vapour-barrier requirements, drainage and shutdown/freeze-protection instructions. Select vibration isolation against actual support loads. The family rendering cannot provide a foundation design or pipe stress calculation.
Accept measured process duty and fault response
Require a model-specific factory test schedule and commissioning procedure at agreed conditions. Verify fluid temperatures/flow, thermal duty, complete input, injection/oil protections and selected remote/group-control functions. Define how the process responds during a chiller fault or power interruption.
Current price, delivery, exact-model efficiency and independently verified process results are unknown. Compare quotations only after matching selected fluid conditions and the included protection/service package.
Select fluid and temperature
Obtain chemistry, freeze margin and simultaneous capacity/input.
Approve protection scope
Confirm actual flow proving, oil/injection circuits and shutdown logic.
Verify process interfaces
Measure duty, fault response and installed controls under agreed conditions.
