AVX-R and ACX(HP)-HR are related outdoor hermetic-screw cooling/heat-pump offers, compared on one page. AVX-R publishes 437–1236 kW cooling and emphasises variable-speed compression and a refrigerant-cooled inverter. ACX(HP)-HR publishes 358–1640 kW for both cooling and heating and describes segmented defrost. Both pages name HFC-134a, flooded evaporators, internal oil separation, vertical screw construction and an insulated compressor enclosure.
These differences matter to seasonal operation, but the ranges are not simultaneous selected ratings. AVX-R's approximately 23% IPLV increase and the shared noise-reduction wording lack inspected baselines and measurement conditions. Heat pump, heat recovery, free cooling and variable-speed fans appear as AVX-R options rather than standard equipment. The actual outdoor location, hydraulic volume, winter duty and noise criterion should determine the enquiry. No selected low-ambient heating curve or defrost capacity loss was available in the reviewed source.
This is an equipment family; its range does not identify one orderable configuration.

Issue ambient extremes, chilled/hot-water temperatures and hourly demand. Request capacity/input and operating limits for the selected configuration. A cooling range cannot stand in for a low-ambient heating selection, and the equal ACX cooling/heating ranges do not establish equal output at every condition.
If free cooling or recovery is needed, obtain its actual circuit, climate thresholds and useful duty. These are listed AVX-R options; do not price the base cooling machine as though it contains them.
For heating, request segmented-defrost sequence, trigger/termination conditions, remaining output and water-temperature transient. Specify actual system volume, flow and the process/building tolerance. The source says defrost reduces water-temperature impact, but supplies no guaranteed temperature deviation.
Define frost protection, pump operation, shutdown drainage or fluid protection according to the selected installation. Obtain minimum flow, expansion and isolation requirements and assign responsibility for external components.
Obtain selected footprint, weight, support loads, airflow clearances and sound data at the actual operating point. Check air recirculation and access for coil cleaning and compressor service. An outdoor application label does not establish site acoustics or a roof support design.
Request the oil/inverter service schedule and protection states. Hermetic construction and maintenance-free compressor wording do not remove inspections of the complete machine or prove zero leakage. Qualify the noise claim using an issued acoustic test basis.
Obtain exact-model efficiency evidence and the conditions behind IPLV comparisons. Match complete machine and external pump inputs to the project load/climate profile. No annual saving is inferred from an unqualified percentage.
Freeze RS485 protocol, supervisory functions and installed options; commission cooling/heating/defrost or free-cooling modes actually ordered. Verify thermal duty, complete input and alarms. Current price, lead time and independently measured project savings remain unknown.
Select inverter cooling and explicitly ordered free-cooling/recovery options.
Require winter rating and segmented-defrost water-temperature evidence.
Approve outdoor air/noise layout, hydraulics, service and actual controls.
