Gerui XQ air-slide process fans · Air duty and interface selection
Select the air supply to the process, with its true resistance and medium boundary; a cement-kiln label is not a complete conveying design.

Define the air-side requirement before choosing XQ
Gerui describes XQ as a high-pressure centrifugal fan for cement-kiln air-slide service and also mentions furnace forced-air applications. Its schedule identifies 4.7A, 4.8A and 5.4A sizes at 2840 r/min, with separate motor and flow/total-pressure entries. Those actual rows make it a different process-air selection from a general room-ventilation fan; they do not establish the design of an entire air slide, a pneumatic conveying line or a furnace system.
The body limits the stream to air or stated noncorrosive, non-self-igniting, nonexplosive and nonsticky gases, with temperature no higher than 80°C and dust/hard particles no higher than 150 mg/m³. Material-handling context must not be mistaken for approval to pass any bulk powder through the rotor. This individually written brief keeps sizes on one family page and asks for the air-side duty and interface conditions that the product catalogue cannot decide for the process designer.

| Unestablished package scope | Air-slide internals, distribution, motor controls and complete installation | No whole-line design, flow uniformity or material-through-rotor approval inferred. Source |
Selection and application review
Identify what the fan supplies and what the process owns
The XQ description concerns air supplied to an air-slide or forced-air process. Issue the process designer's required airflow, pressure and distribution conditions at the fan connection. Clarify external manifolds, valves, air-slide resistance and the interfaces included in each party's scope.
Do not size a complete conveying system from the fan table or assume that a cement application authorises material to enter the rotor. The actual medium, solids, temperature and unusual operating conditions must be accepted against the selected construction. The catalogue does not establish conveying rate, slope or material-specific behaviour.
Use the actual 2840 r/min selection
At 4.7A the source gives a 1.5 kW Y90S-2, 585 m³/h and 5187 Pa total pressure. At 5.4A one 3 kW row gives 727.5–860 m³/h and 6918–6858 Pa. These are defined supplier entries; no reviewed air-reference condition or independent test establishes the site's operating point.
Request the full curve and selected point using the actual pressure convention and air conditions. The selected motor column is not measured system input. Compare complete quoted equipment at the required air duty, rather than simply buying the largest model or motor in the schedule.
Set the installation and control interfaces
Obtain the current rotation/outlet, inlet/flange and foundation drawing. Coordinate the manufacturer's required inlet/outlet arrangements, support and access with the process equipment. Ask for sound/vibration data and the installed mechanical-protection/guarding construction.
Specify electrical supply and any speed control, and agree which controller permits operation or reports a fault to the process. The catalogue offers no reviewed automatic sequencing or safety-function certification. This brief supplies procurement questions, not a site operating or modification procedure.
Agree the evidence that closes the air duty
Ask for a dated selected schedule, motor and drive data, material documentation and the agreed mechanical/run and performance checks. Define the measurement boundary for the accepted airflow and pressure. Any installed uniformity or process-throughput requirement needs its own responsible designer and test scope.
Current quotation, lead time, witnessed efficiency and purchaser-confirmed process results are unknown. This page documents the actual XQ offer and useful source examples while keeping the process-system responsibilities distinct.
Get the process air requirement
Obtain actual flow, pressure, medium and resistance at the fan boundary.
Approve one selected assembly
Match size, speed, motor, curve, connection drawing and included controls.
Define acceptance responsibility
Separate fan-duty verification from air-slide or furnace performance obligations.
