Define DATACOOL-PACKAGE's delivered air paths and operating modes

DATACOOL-PACKAGE combines mechanical refrigeration with direct outside-air cooling for data centres and telecom rooms. The inspected official page describes front maintenance, an optional sectional structure for restricted transport routes, linked-unit runtime balancing and automatic mode selection. It does not provide a named model's capacity, air volume, electrical or dimensional table.

This is therefore an architecture and enquiry brief, not a numeric model selection. The source says a refrigeration fault can trigger outside-air cooling, but that is a control response rather than proof that ventilation can remove the full load in any weather. The user's room, allowable outdoor air and actual delivered assembly determine whether this packaged arrangement is suitable.

Selection and application review

Approve the actual mechanical duty before choosing the package

Submit the equipment sensible heat, return temperature/humidity, allowed room/IT inlet limits and outdoor design conditions. Request a current selected model schedule with total/sensible capacity, air volume at installed resistance, input power and the heat-rejection arrangement. The page's general temperature/humidity-control wording does not establish a delivered humidifier or a specific achievable condition.

Close refrigerant, condenser or other heat-rejection interfaces using the selected offer. Ask for the full standard/optional bill of equipment and performance test basis. A family illustration or another AIRSYS series cannot provide missing model-specific ratings for DATACOOL-PACKAGE.

Specify direct-air eligibility and refrigeration-fault behaviour

Direct outside-air cooling needs coordinated intake and discharge routes, filters, sensors and suitable outdoor conditions. Have the room designer define temperature, humidity and contamination limits, then obtain the delivered mode sequence and the remaining cooling duty while outside air is blocked. Do not assume a temperature comparison alone makes air suitable for electronics.

The source says a refrigeration-system fault triggers natural cooling. Define the allowed room condition in that state, hot-weather limitations and any independent backup provision. Switching a damper or fan does not demonstrate full cooling availability, and runtime balancing of multiple packages does not establish independent power/control paths.

Mechanical mode

Selected refrigeration and heat rejection must cover the agreed design duty.

Outside-air mode

Capacity depends on usable ambient air, temperature difference and delivered flow.

Refrigeration fault

Ventilation response must be checked against weather/load; no automatic full-load backup is established.

Close the damper, filter-protection and blocked-air sequence

The damper description gives an operating time below 90 seconds but no independently reviewed leakage class. Request its actual actuator, fail position, seals, leakage basis and response to loss of power or communications. Coordinate the room pressure and ventilation transitions with the agreed cooling control design.

The page describes disabling natural cooling during severe conditions to protect filters. Require the actual filter media, differential-pressure/condition sensing, lockout thresholds and replacement instructions. This protection wording is not evidence that polluted outdoor air remains acceptable or that mechanical cooling is available during every simultaneous fault.

Resolve sectional delivery and front-access maintenance on drawings

For restricted access, obtain each delivered section's dimensions, weight, lifting points and required joining works. Coordinate the packed delivery path and the final installation envelope separately. Establish what factory testing is repeated after reassembly and who performs refrigerant, electrical and air-seal work on site.

The front-maintenance claim needs the removal route for actual fans, coils, compressors, filters and controls. Obtain general arrangements and support loads, with clearances and all site interfaces marked. A sectional option does not itself prove that the package fits an existing lift or doorway.

Make controls and efficiency commitments reviewable

Obtain the controller/version, access levels, group topology, alarms, monitoring points and response to sensor or network loss. The advertised four password levels are a feature description, not a reviewed cybersecurity assessment. Include the agreed restart, balancing, automatic test and fault modes in commissioning.

The supplier's 'up to 90%' saving has no project weather/load baseline on this page. Request an annual energy calculation with the complete cooling boundary, or actual comparable measured evidence. Obtain current conformity documents for the exact assembly; the webpage's CE label has not been independently verified. Price, capacity, warranty and delivery remain quotation items, and the platform has not tested the product.
