AIRSYS ADIACOOL adiabatic dry coolers
An outdoor fluid-cooling family combining dry heat rejection and adiabatic assistance; the 100–1,400 kW span and 80% statement require actual water and climate conditions.

Select ADIACOOL's fluid temperatures, climate modes and mechanical backup
ADIACOOL is described by AIRSYS as an air-cooled dry cooler with adiabatic evaporative assistance for data-centre cooling. The official page prioritises outdoor natural cooling and treats mechanical refrigeration as auxiliary. It lists a 100–1,400 kW family span, EC fans, enlarged coils and a modular arrangement, but no named model's rating conditions or hydraulic schedule.
The page also claims at least 80% of cooling demand can be supplied regardless of location. It does not define whether that is annual energy, operating hours, a duty fraction or another measure. A selected dry-cooler/water-plant design needs the actual fluid temperatures, weather, heat load, water services and remaining mechanical duty. This brief keeps the headline statements in their source scope and turns them into the questions needed for a usable quotation.

Selection and application review
Define the fluid duty rather than ordering a family maximum
Send the required fluid inlet/outlet temperatures, fluid composition, design flow, heat load and allowable pressure drop. Obtain the selected coil/dry-cooler performance at actual ambient dry/wet-bulb conditions and each required operating mode. The website's 100–1,400 kW range does not establish a model size, fluid temperature or a simultaneous maximum duty.
Close the interface with the rest of the plant: pumps, headers, valves, strainers, isolation and mechanical refrigeration. ADIACOOL is presented as part of a high-water-temperature cooling approach; it is not established here as a substitute for any traditional chilled-water design without selection.
Distinguish dry, adiabatic and mechanically assisted operation
Request the mode envelope showing when dry heat rejection can satisfy the load, when evaporation is enabled and when mechanical refrigeration is required. Include the selected supply temperature and capacity in each state. Clarify the source's 'at least 80%' claim with its metric, time basis and the weather/load assumptions used in the calculation.
A broad outdoor envelope is not evidence of useful capacity at its hottest limit or safe freeze operation at its coldest limit. Obtain the actual fluid, frost-protection, seasonal shutdown/restart and low-temperature instructions. Identify how the plant covers the load while water or adiabatic assistance is unavailable.
Approve the dry-mode point
Select capacity and fluid temperatures using the project's dry-bulb condition and actual coil flow.
Approve the assisted-mode point
Add water quality/availability, wet-bulb condition, consumption and the delivered spray/control arrangement.
Approve the remaining duty
Define the mechanical/backup contribution, failure states and operation during maintenance.
Obtain water demand and maintenance on the same boundary
The page mentions low water consumption, water treatment and prevention measures, but supplies no consumption, purge or treatment schedule. Request the actual make-up requirement across the annual weather/load analysis, water quality/pressure limits, purge/drain figures and included treatment hardware. An efficiency claim should account for both auxiliary energy and water use.
Obtain the current maintenance and water-system operating documents and the site's competent assessment. The prevention wording alone is not a reviewed hygiene evaluation or guarantee. Coordinate access and cleaning for spray equipment, water paths, coils, filters/strainers and drains, and identify the responsible operator.
Coordinate the outdoor layout and exposed materials
The modular design and EC fans are supplier descriptions rather than a site layout. Obtain the actual general arrangement, weight, support and lifting information, fan-removal path and the permitted spacing around adjacent units or obstructions. Ask the designer to address airflow recirculation and the site's noise requirement using the selected arrangement.
IPX4 and corrosion-resistant-material wording do not define every material grade, coil exposure or coastal treatment. Require the ordered bill of construction, coating/fastener details, environmental limits and the exact enclosure/protection documents. Do not infer a present service life or unlimited chemical resistance from the family page.
Specify PLC integration and witness the operating sequence
The page states standard Modbus and group control up to 16 units without naming the transport, registers or delivered architecture. Obtain the actual controller/version, network topology, point map, permissions, alarms and response to network/controller loss. Define the common dependencies shared by the grouped equipment and the remaining duty with a unit out of service.
Factory/site acceptance should follow the selected mode schedule, fluid duty and agreed alarm/failure tests. Capacity, the meaning of the 80% statement, measured efficiency, water consumption, price and warranty need a documented project quotation. The platform has not tested the cooler or verified an installed data-centre result.
