Envicool presents HEC and dry-cooler cold sources for liquid-cooled data centres. Their public descriptions share V-coil heat exchange, variable-frequency fans, independent fan servicing and compatibility with several coolants. HEC explicitly describes dry and wet modes; the dry-cooler page identifies an optional adiabatic humidifier. Both mention galvanized structure, copper pipes and corrosion-treated fins, with additional stainless/aluminium corrosion-resistance wording whose exact component scope is not defined. The original images show an enclosed vertical HEC unit and an open multi-fan V-coil cooler.
Because the reviewed pages do not provide separate model rating schedules, these closely related heat-rejection choices are consolidated in one buying brief. The task is to compare the selected dry and wetted configurations at actual climate and coolant conditions, then identify water, freezing, sound and installation obligations. General free-cooling and low-water language is not a guaranteed outlet temperature, corrosion life or annual saving. No heat duty, fan count or dimensions are invented from the illustrations.
This is an equipment family; its range does not identify one orderable configuration.

| Parameter | Published value | Conditions and evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Shared heat-rejection features | V-coil, variable-frequency fans and independent fan access | Official descriptions; selected coil/fan ratings not issued. Source |
| HEC modes | Dry and wet | No numerical switching threshold or selected capacity map. Source |
| Dry-cooler option | Adiabatic humidifier | Optional; do not transfer assisted performance onto a dry-only quote. Source |
| Material language | Galvanized plate, copper pipes, coated fins; additional stainless/aluminium wording | Resolve component-specific materials on ordered bill of materials. Source |
| Published numerical duty | No selected capacity or outlet-temperature schedule reviewed | Images do not establish a rating or fixed fan count. Source |

Issue maximum ambient conditions, coolant return/supply temperatures, heat load and fluid concentration. Ask for selected dry and assisted/wet-mode duties and complete fan/input schedules. A free-cooling label does not mean the unit provides compressor refrigeration or delivers any requested subambient fluid temperature.
Obtain the required operating envelope and the approach to the limiting climate point. If backup cooling is needed, define its equipment and control responsibility separately. The public pages lack a quantified selection table, so neither illustrated product is assigned a universal kW rating.
For HEC, obtain the dry/wet operating sequence and the selected wet-system components. For the dry cooler, confirm whether the optional adiabatic humidifier is ordered. A quote with no water-assistance package cannot inherit the performance of one with it.
Request water quality, replenishment, drainage, treatment, consumption and maintenance at the selected climate points. Extremely low water consumption is qualitative source language, not a published annual volume. Establish cold-weather and shutdown procedures from issued instructions.
Send coolant chemistry and concentration and ask for a component-specific wetted-material schedule. The official text names copper, coated fins, galvanized plates and other stainless/aluminium corrosion-resistance elements without clearly locating every material. Obtain the actual coil/connector/casing construction for the selected order.
Request pressure rating, fluid-side losses, compatibility limits and the fill/cleaning procedure. Marine-grade language does not establish a certified corrosion class or lifetime in a particular coastal/industrial atmosphere. Define any required material or corrosion test explicitly.
Request selected footprint, weight, support loads, airflow direction and service clearance. Assess obstruction and recirculation against the supplier's layout instructions. Independent fan servicing is useful only with actual access and an agreed remaining-duty condition.
Ask for sound data with operating point and measurement method, including full and part-load fan operation. Owl-inspired fan wording is not an absolute sound level. Agree fan failure response and the cold-source controls/interfaces to the CDU and upstream supervisory system.
Measure thermal duty and complete input at agreed fluid/ambient points and verify the selected dry/wet transition and water-system functions. Agree fan fault and seasonal start/stop tests plus documentation, spare and maintenance responsibilities.
Use the site's climate/load profile for annual comparisons, including all pumps and any water-assistance loads. Current price, lead time and independent annual efficiency are unknown.
Require mode-specific ratings, water-system scope and issued switching logic.
Use the dry-only thermal selection at the limiting ambient point.
Check added water equipment, maintenance and assisted ratings separately.
